Simplefish was deployed on Operation 'Faceless Hero'--to steal ADVENT machinery from a derailed train.
Unfortunately he was discovered prior to infiltration, but decided to go along with the mission anyway.



Facing the overwhelming odds of 50+ ADVENT Troopers, he was shot and killed by an ADVENT Officer.
Next time we'll be ready for the ADVENT scum.

what happened to that second topic you linked in the OP anyway? Did you just never really finish, or what?

I mean, a Long War game is an average of 120 missions, and I tend to play stealth. So I probably won't invest like 150 hours into this game to finish it through. My XCOM 2 game never finished unfortunately but the XCOM 1 team won. I think Jairo did the sacrifice at the end. I avoided putting him in this game yet bc I want to wait til I get a Psi Op to name him after since historically he's the top soldier in all my games.

UPDATE 4: KNOWING YOUR LIMITS
Day 31 of the Resistance

KidAlex90, KingOfTheBill, JamesH, and Stick Man formed [TEAM SHADOW]--for stealth operations. They were deployed to hack an ADVENT data-cache.
KingOfTheBill was shot down by an automated turret while fleeing the scene. After obtaining the data, the survivors narrowly returned to the Skyranger.



SeventhSandwich, Gabenuwell, Ephialtes and Decepticon formed [TEAM MENACE]--for heavy assault. They were deployed to capture or kill an ADVENT VIP.
Decepticon was severely crippled and carried to the skyranger by Gabenuwell while SeventhSandwich carried the VIP. Decepticon will be out of service for 36 days.



SeventhSandwich and Ephialtes were sent to Berlin to rescue 3 XCOM Operatives held in an ADVENT Prison and were promoted.
The mission was a wild success, with all 5 squadmates returning to the Skyranger unharmed.
