Author Topic: [NEWS] Brock Turner due for release from jail, served 3 of 6 month sentence  (Read 5313 times)

if you wear a nice suit and get robbed, is it your fault for wearing the suit? after all you knew you looked rich and made yourself an opportune target for robbers

It is partially if you're going down a back alley in the worst part of the city.

I guess people should never take responsibility or take precautionary measures to prevent an incident from happening. I guess I shouldn't lock my doors at night. Hell I guess I should just leave my keys in the ignition of my car when I'm not using it.

tfw ppl shrug off 50% earlier bailout of an already super short sentence because OP happens to be phantos

i don't think you're actually saying you believe someone can accept any blame for being loveually assaulted because they 'didn't do enough to stop it,' because that would be absolutely horrible, so what are you saying? if i leave my door unlocked and someone shoots my dog and steals my pringles, that's obviously not my fault in the slightest, and no sane judge is going to say so. i don't see why loveual assault should be under stricter scrutiny.

Considering the fact you made this topic to stuff on a rapist shows it isn't easy.

So if even kids on a Lego forum hate him, imagine real people outside a Lego forum.

I'm sure he can't go on Lego forums now without being constantly reminded he is a love offender.

received 5 years in jail for the same loveual assault charges as turner. the only difference was that he was african american

So what?

Blame the courts for usually siding with a white woman 99% of the loving time. Because women know they can get away with this bullstuff.

Stop making it about race.

as a general rule: never get blackout drunk
honestly this is a weird subject for me
Obviously a rapist is a rapist is the offender but like you said sometimes people put themselves in really bad situations expecting stuffty people not to be stuffty
Am I victim blaming? Probably a lil but getting blackout drunk is kinda like walking out into a crosswalk without looking, yeah it's okay and your right to do, but without looking you're putting yourself in danger

Stop making it about gender.

I will when women can get tried for rape and when women stop bullstuffting the court system.

It was 4 in the morning and I saw the argument that feminists frequently use. The whole "don't teach women to defend themselves teach men not to rape" bullstuff. Rapist or thief is still 100% at fault but there will always be these kinds of people so you might as well minimize your own risk of this stuff happening to you.

Yeah let's teach the entire male population of the entire world not to rape.

wow red spy and inh really hit a new level with this one lmao

ontopic tho, its bs this guys getting out after 3 months. rapists get out on light sentences all the time, and not all of them are even put in the public eye like this dude was. people get put in jail for selling weed longer than rapists do. if you rape someone youre absolute trash and 3 months is not near close enough to a reasonable sentence.

i see where phantos is coming from with the brian banks stuff, but in this case it was mostly just the turner families money, which is still loving handicapped.

yeah that idea is mostly just a reaction to stuff like this judge: http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/09/world/robin-camp-rape-comments-judge-resigns-trnd/
who is, i imagine, probably not nearly as common a case these days, though the general mindset he had is still floating around
