ive been here for a little more than 7 years now. i met some of the people who've changed my life the most and who've affected me the most as a person here, and ive learned a lot from this place.
i don't know whether this is something that i've just not been picking up on, or if it's recently begun, or what, but nobody seems to remember the fact that there are fingers on keyboards behind every post, a face behind the opinions being shared, and people with lives just as complicated as yours sharing the same intellectual space as you are on this website.
it sucks to watch people tear each other apart on here in a community in which ive found a lot of love, and learned a lot of lessons. maybe consider putting down your fists for a minute. say something nice to somebody on here. maybe you'll watch your life away from this improve, too. hate doesn't help anybody.
with that, thanks to those of you who try to maintain a positive vibe and keep insults to yourself. thanks for being examples.
