but we're not just talking about dying for the sake of dying, they die so that we can eat them

I like where you're going with this train of thought...

go vegan?
so everyone in the world should go vegan

i expected a smarter solution like, "find better ways to manage and treat the animals that are better for the environment" but i forgot that i'm arguing with an actual piece of broccoli

So did you eat a loving smelly cunt?

i wonder why vegans have such a high rate of iron deficiency (thinking emoji)

In 2013, more than 482,100 workers were employed in the meat and poultry packing and processing industries. Their combined salaries total more than $19 billion.
Through its production and distribution linkages, the meat and poultry industry impacts firms in all 509 sectors of the U.S. economy, in every state and every congressional district in the country.
In all, companies involved in meat production, along with their suppliers, distributors, retailers and ancillary industries employ 6.2 million people in the U.S. with jobs that total $200 billion in wages.
Through direct taxes paid, these companies and their employees provide $81.2 billion in revenues to federal, state and local governments. The consumption of meat and poultry generates $2.4 billion in state sales taxes.
The meat and poultry industry's economic ripple effect generates $864.2 billion annually to the U.S. economy, or roughly 6% of the entire GDP.
In 2013 (the most recent year data is available,) meat and poultry industry sales totaled $198 billion.
forget everyone and their families who work in the meat industry.................. meat is murder........

forget entire economies tbh

I'd recommend anyone watch 'Earthlings' or 'Meet Your Meat' to see just how bad the conditions are. The latter comes from PETA and while they are a terrible organization the documentary isn't compromised by a material vision. Anyone who believes in basic rights should really try to wean themselves off meat and try to exclusively buy humane dairy.
< that moment when you try to recommend documentaries as a credible source of information

It's kinda funny that Zealot actually drew a comparison between slavery and eating meat. That's the most vegan thing I've ever seen.

Sure they aren't lmao. Hey I have this great documentary I recommend. It's called "greatest story never told"

Almost as bad as Adam from YMS saying that people who forget dogs are better than people who eat meat.

zealot is the only vegan in the entire world who has managed to be husky

my bet is that his metabolism slowed down to an unhealthy level because of lack of nutrients

spending so much time sitting in one place arguing on the internet instead of running around trying to convert people irl like a normal vegan probably hasn't helped him either

normal vegan
good thing those don't exist, vegans aren't normal
