If I didn't have affordable health care I probably wouldn't be alive anymore because the hospitalizing asthma attacks i've had in my life have totaled up to around $20,000, which is more than my dad has saved up in his last 10 years of working
right, definitely worth noting that most conditions aren't just a one-time fee. they may very well require constant monitoring and/or additional procedures down the line, including any costs of medical supplies that you may need from day to day.

you're right, sorry if I sounded like an starfish.

you not understanding something isn't the same as being an starfish, dont worry about it

The majority of the US has no need for mandatory health care and it is a complete burden on them. This is hurting the majority for the needs of the few.

Then make it not mandatory. That way, the 50 million people that actually need it can continue to survive, while the other 200 million can continue being rich and paying for their own medical stuff.

Then who pays for it?

Then who pays for it?
Everyone pays for it. And by pays, i mean you contribute less than a cent.

Society functions by elevating its lowest members of society to the same level as the middle. If you just leave your poor people to die, you don't function or advance properly as a society. You have less workers and less morale, less people to pay money at businesses, and in general the economy fails.

i tend to thoroughly disagree that the minority's rights and survival should be up to the will of the majority, but in principle that's not necessarily even relevant here, it's just my opinion that people don't deserve to die if they can't pay for their life on their own, and i'm willing to give up some of my own money to contribute to insuring millions

So you expect people to pay a tax on a service they won't use or have access to? Fat chance.

Health care isn't a right.

Health care isn't a right.
and survival

debatably, survival is more important here anyways. also the second half of the post is the more important part lol

It's not debatable. There is a list of rights for US citizens. You can look it up online.

I'm not saying charity is bad. By all means pay for someone else's stuff. Just don't expect everyone else to be forced to chip in. Sorry lot of double posts.

i'm not saying it's a right, i'm saying i included survival as something that shouldn't be up for the majority to take away

and the second part of the post is still, as i said in the post and the one after it, more important
