charity isn't going to help the vast majority of people

then what exactly was the issue with obamacare
my healthcare plan that I need to afford my medication went from $600 to $1800

So yeah there's a problem right there.

charity isn't going to help the vast majority of people

The vast majority don't need help.

obamacare can absolutely be made better and definitely needs some work, but leaving 52 million people without any kind of insurance is irresponsible

The vast majority don't need help.
fair enough, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve it when they need it. you don't get insurance because you expect to use it, you get it in case you need to.

Health care isn't a right.
A 'right' is literally just whatever people agree is a 'right'.

In the DPRK, free speech isn't a right, but it's a right here because we think it makes our society better. Whether we should consider healthcare as a right is a more complicated conversation than, "Durr, it's not in the constitution!"

Corderlain is absolutely resistant to paying even a cent a month for something he doesn't use, even if it means that 52 million people will be saved by health care.

That's literally the definition of selfishness. You wouldn't even give up the smallest thing just so millions of less fortunate people can live

Yes, but there is no good reason to tax everyone for health care If the tax is gonna hurt the people who need it too.

Usually the people who need things like Obamacare need all the money they can get.

Literally every government institution is run on taxes. There's no possible way to run a country-wide health care plan without taxing people, just as there's no way to run a military operation in iraq without taxing people.

This sounds terrible. I've never actually experienced this issue, because asthma medication is covered fully by my plan.  After ACA, my hospital bill for asthma attacks went from $2,000 to $500. Maybe it's the medication itself or a blowback of some sort, but that sounds like a discrepancy.

Honestly, ACA could use some ironing out to fix the exact issues that you express, but removing it completely will not only forget you over but will forget me & 30 million people over too

Health care isn't a right
All of that is great and all, but it's not a right.
Health care isn't a right.
Health care isn't a right.
this isn't even a good defense, why do you keep repeating it

"because health care isnt a right"

eventually someone will bring up a valid argument and he'll exit with a graceful "lol you're literally trolls bye"

Char-it-y

Char-it-y

If ACA was a charity we'd literally be dead. Even if every billionaire CEO donated a huge sum of money it wouldn't be enough to cover the cost. The only way the cost can be achieved is by taxing 300 million americans a small amount each month

in what world does charity cover any of that
Matthew's concept of how the world works is very misunderstood
