accidentally clicked the news tab on google and this article was there so i clicked it out of interest

im mostly interested because vegas has been relatively warm all of winter this year; warm to the point where i didn't need to wear heavy clothing or a jacket outside to stay warm. anyone who lives in a desert/dry area can tell you that normally it gets loving cold as stuff during the winter. vegas/mojave area always has wonky climate/temperatures but around 60 degrees in the winter time was kind of an oddity. even last week before spring season officially started, i remember looking at the temperature being high 80 and one day, 91.

i dont really know all the ins and outs of climate change (somethin about greenhouse gases and natural fluctuations in temperature) but holy stuff from the looks of it, we kinda need to get this stuff in check lol

Climate Change isn't real.
Also the earth is flat and forget you.

you mean global warming?

Yes I believe there's a climate and it's changing

you mean global warming?
i mean i guess?

i suppose they're connected for the most part unless i'm wrong

They were the exact same thing until we invented "The pause"

climate change is an effect of global warming
or im wrong, that could be a possibility

how i see it is:

Climate change and global warming can interchangeably be natural or unnatural.
Global warming can be caused by greenhouse gases or whatever unnatural circumstances that can cause global warming, thus causing climate change as well.
OTOH, plain old climate change/global warming is caused by natural and predictable planetary/celestial changes. (over a long period of time of course)

i tried so hard to sensibly convey that into words lol i feel like i don't sound smart because honestly im not in regards to this topic but bear with me i guess

but yeah idk it makes sense for climate change to be an effect of global warming

Climate Change isn't real.
Also the earth is flat and forget you.
stop

unless im mistaken, pretty much the entire scientific community is in agreement that it's real and that we're accelerating the process

You pretty much got it

The reason a lot of people call it climate change nowadays instead of global warming is because some people still somehow get confused about it and think that global warming means it needs to be getting warmer everywhere. That's not how climate works. An increase in average global temperatures means weather and climate gets significantly more extreme, which means hot places will get hotter, and cold places will get colder. That's obviously a vast oversimplification but basically yeah.

It was to try and combat the bullstuff going around like this idiot

who brought a snowball into congress and said 100% seriously, with no alternative meaning that because there was snow, global warming wasn't real.

so basically a modern version of this

climate change is real and it's kinda hard to believe mr. president says it's not ;(

i mean whatever floats your boat my dude
