if you think Gorillaz is bad because of political messages then you're really ignorant and you really should take into account that politics are everywhere.
it's not really about politics in general or it being everywhere though, it's just that they are diving into a specific controversial thing which connects to politics in which that case it's Annoying Orange or something else that's been into heated arguments before. i don't really care about politics in general, and if you have a better way of approaching to politics as a music producer or an artist then go ahead and try, see if you can get people to be entertained. in fact, if you even have an opinion you want to express in your music, go right ahead and do it, it's completely your choice and power to you if you get fans for it. however, i'm normally the type of person that doesn't wanna hear people's beliefs about controversial things in songs or even express it because there's a better way to do that than shoving your enjoying and fans who too probably don't even care about politics -or as a matter of fact listen to music to calm their stress against stuff like poltics- into your possibly debatable/contradictory opinion that nobody asked for, because guess what:
who comes into here to listen to your opinion? fun fact nobody wants to hear it.
if i really cared about someone's beliefs i'd go into their twitter or their social media, not their music. it's completely annoying and it ruins the vibe.
and just to clear things up, i'm not ruining the point of music. the point of music can be to clearly express anything in the matter such as Annoying Orange or the events, but if it's just a song purposefully made to simply stuff or make references to stuffting on things like Annoying Orange or whatever then that's where people like me just don't want to listen to it and dislike in general.. stuff it in a better way or just stop doing it, i don't wanna hear that garbage.
