I've always preferred the playstation-style layout, something about the symmetry of it pleases me more while still retaining a good level of comfort. For straight controllers, the Dualshock 4v2 is my weapon of choice, fixes a lot of the issues with the original Dualshock 4, along with adding some extra grip to the brown townog sticks (might post a comparison photo later). The Xbone controller is almost comfy but something about the sharper edges in the area between the handles ruins the comfort for me, that, and the slimmer triggers on the DS4 feel more trigger-like rather than the chunkier, fatter triggers of the Xbone's controller.

This dude knows where it's at. Not only allows you to do mouse aiming stuff with the brown townog sticks, touchpad, and the gyro/accelerometer, but on a Dualshock 4 you can mess with the light bar and have it do funky strobing patterns and rainbows.
