i really liked the look of destiny despite what people were saying but ive never owned a console so i could never play it but now im super hyped. plus they gotta make this good because otherwise destiny will die and stay dead.

Oh neat, a mindless RPG First Person Shooter.
I'm certain the story will be so very amazing on this one.

Lol way to be optimistic, I admit destiny 1 didnt have the best story but damn, wait till the game comes out before you stuff on it

maybe it'll be good this time

maybe

I thought they were going to be adding on to the first one for 10 years after it's release

meh im excited. never got to experience this game and i love games that i can waste my life on

As someone who's spent 455 hours on Destiny as of this post, The vanilla game's story was hot garbage. The Dark Below and House of Wolves improved a decent bit, but they were still eh. The Taken King was where the in-game story really picked up, was pretty well-done. Rise of Iron rode off of nostalgia and the fanbase's collective yearning for the return of the Gjallarhorn, but it still had a decent story.

However, the lore expressed through the Grimoire cards, calcified fragments, and SIVA clusters is surprisingly well-done and worth reading. Bungie could go a lot of different places with the lore base they set up in Destiny and they've learned a lot since Vanilla Destiny. Ultimately, I have high hopes but I'm going to hesitate on pre-ordering it until gameplay footage comes out.

I thought they were going to be adding on to the first one for 10 years after it's release

i mean the atmosphere. it doesn't feel... new. i can't really explain it.

How is that bait? I'm positive that thats what bungie said leading up to it's release.

Wanted to be sure there before I made a serious reply.

The original contract details from 2012 or 2013 stated there were to be four Destiny games over a period of 10 years, with expansions in between. I'm assuming the terms of that contract have changed considering D2 will launch one day shy of exactly three years since D1's launch.

It feels like a freshening of the first game's atmosphere. A touch of extra grit and self awareness added in. It's intended to be a continuation of the lore explored in the first game and it's looking like the Cabal and some dinoforgets are going to be the main antagonists of the vanilla story here.
