Author Topic: Destiny 2 PC release confirmed along side Xbone and PS4 on September 8th  (Read 7200 times)

Destiny is my top game. Played it since the weekend it released. What's disappointing is how many people left it in the dust after vanilla. And most of them didn't even get to end-game content. Perhaps in the beginning, there was a bit of projecting that it was great to convince myself that Bungo couldn't do wrong, but once I got to the Vault of Glass, I knew that there was something great in the future. People complain about how many DLC's it took to "get good" and that people who bought into it were sheep or some garbage. The people who were into Destiny and bought the DLC were invested in new content, it far less to do with updates to the game for it to get better. By the time The Taken King rolled around, that was probably the perfect time for newcomers to drop $60 (a little bit over to add TTK? I don't remember the exact price) for all the content.

i just got destiny taken king with the first 2 dlc for ps3, really cheap right now

Why would you do that to yourself?
Bungie did what they could but MAN the PS3/360 versions run like flat ass.

Pre-ordered Collector's Edition on PS4, since that's what my IRL friends will be playing on. Very excited.

im probably gonna preorder as soon as im able, i wanna play in the beta. i also really hope they move the story from those grimoire card things to a quest line because i really dont want to read a stuff ton of text to know whats happening

Same same same, I want an actual in game story with memorable characters besides Cayde-6, no grimoire card bs

i only got to play this for a brief period of time on my mum's PSN acc

with this on PC i'm certain i'll have a much more fun experience

...now to get a computer that doesn't struggle to play TF2 at times

I agree that greater amount of the lore should be explored within the game itself, though I wouldn't get rid of grimoire entirely since it can help provide greater context to some events and exotics, along with hinting at the content of future expansions.

normally i would think making a sequel to an mmo so soon is dumb, but seeing how the first one bombed so quick, id say this is a good idea. might cop if it turns out to be good

yeah they gotta make this good else its goodbye for them

also being on pc is a bigger audience

Destiny even now is doing great. People still believe its some smoldering barren wasteland. The Destiny subreddit is still huge, used to be one of the top gaming subreddits, especially when TTK dropped. I can't remember the last time a game made one of its weapons go trending on Facebook (Gjallarhorn Day, for reference).

oh, didnt know that. nice to know its doing well. even then, they really need to make sure destiny 2 is a solid game on launch. a fair amount is resting on this release. im probably gonna look at a bunch of stuff to do with destiny just to familiarize myself with the game before d2 drops.
