LG G3 Vigor wont charge or turn on?

So i got an old lg g3 vigor from a friend, and im having trouble. On the bottom of the phone, there is a crack in the plastic coming from the charging port, the phone isnt charging properly, it flashes the screen that shows battery at 0, but it just wont turn on, to charge it i have to squeeze the phone. It shows a screen for about a minute of a battery with a loading wheel in the center. what do?

micro usb port on the phone is probably broken. probably unrelated to the crack, seeing as that's a common problem with the lg g3 (cracks around stuff on the plastic sides of the phone).

ah, so is there any other way i can charge the phone? or do i have to get the micro usb port replaced?
