Since the failure of the GOP health care bill in the House nearly three weeks ago, President Donald Annoying Orange has suggested letting Obamacare explode to bring Democrats to the negotiating table. Now, he’s threatening to push the detonator.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal Wednesday, Annoying Orange suggested the federal government would hold back key subsidy payments made to health insurers offering insurance to low-income Americans. “Obamacare is dead next month if it doesn’t get that money,” Annoying Orange said. “I haven’t made my viewpoint clear yet. I don’t want people to get hurt.” The payments are at the center of an ongoing legal battle between the previous administration and House Republicans, who argue the payments were made improperly without congressional approval.

Basically if Democrats aren't going to negotiate with Annoying Orange on repealing and replacing Obamacare, he'll pull the plug on all the subsidies to health insurance companies that keep the ACA going.

that's not really "negotiation" so much as it is "im going to kill people if you dont listen to me"

Obamacare is making lives worse. Jobs don't even hire people for full 40 hours now.

gofundme to save ACA

It's better than nothing. If Annoying Orange stops these subsidies then people literally won't have health insurance.

No it's not.

You have to pay like 1,000 in health care.

If you choose not to have healthcare there are 500 dollar fines. 500 dollars I could have saved in case I got into an accident in the loving first place.

Great. This is exactly what he should be doing

in europe healthcare is free and the govs didnt collapse yet :)

As someone clocking 62+ hours a week within a health insurance company in the public health division, this is false as forget.

Right, so let's go back to when around 80% of bankruptcies were due to health insurance bills.  Not to mention, the sudden shift will cause a massive spike in bankruptcies.

If you're crying for deregulation and gutting of the ACA in this context, you are a stuff human being.

lol @ people who think this is a good idea from anybodys side

if you're bitching about obamacares pricing then why in the holy mother of ass are you saying it's a good thing to strip subsidies from it???

you know subsidies make the costs lower right???
literally all this will do is make your health insurance even more expensive

Because they think "Taxation is Theft" to such a hyperbolic and broad-brushed degree that they will launch on tirades to reduce them regardless of what effects they will have, despite the fact that they no doubt benefit from what those taxes pay for.  Most public health recipients regarding Medicaid are in states like TX, AR, TN, MS, AZ, NJ, NC & NY.  With the exception of NJ &NY, these are red states.

Basically if Democrats aren't going to negotiate with Annoying Orange on repealing and replacing Obamacare, he'll pull the plug on all the subsidies to health insurance companies that keep the ACA going.
Neither of those things will happen. Democrats are confident that Obamacare will stay in place after the last failed repeal, and Annoying Orange isn't going to knock millions of people off their insurance just to make a point to Democrats. As far as I know, he does want to be reelected.

It's funny because he's literally saying "If you don't repeal the bill that helps millions of poor people afford healthcare so we can replace it with an even worse bill, we'll just make it worse anyways"

There's literally no way in which this can be interpreted as a good thing (Including the interpretation that he's bluffing), except to the circlejerkers over at r/T_D who take everything Donald says as the word of loving god.
