the point is that it's cheaper because the feature isn't included

I'm already thinking about getting one of these. I wouldn't ever use the 3D stuff anyway.
Looks like a more traditional DS but with newer hardware, which sounds good to me.

pretty sure it was meant for kids who would drop it all the time. its design makes it very durable

The original 2DS in my opinion was a awfully loving idea. Also if the 3d was such a loving problem, was it that hard notice that fact you could loving turn the 3D off?? anyway, this new 2DS looks 100 times better and I might actually get as a backup DS
 

The 3D was a problem because if you don't like it you're still paying extra for something you don't want.
