Nope, Headphones are loving 10x better.
and Razer Electra's are the best 3.5mm headphones.
Or Razer Kraken Mobiles, (Electra's are better.)

nintendo said in the first place that the 3ds would not be discontinued after the switch released
remember, the new 3ds only came out two years ago.

Remember:
A. Nintendo always says this because it's damage control and standard procedure.
B. The New 3DS is like the Gameboy Color or Nintendo DSi, it's a middle handheld that has some exclusives, but really isn't a 'next gen' handheld.

we know this is false because you are master matthew

A hell of a lot better than the stupid non-folding design
I thought the non-folding design of the 2DS was a large part of its point.
Wasn't it designed for kids who had a habit of snapping the hinges of their SP/DS/3DS? I recall hearing praise for that feature when the 2DS was announced.

Anyway, I'm not at all surprised by this, even with the Switch out. The switch is massive and the joycons joysticks are awkwardly protrusive. It's very uncomfortable to have in your pockets, unless you're wearing some deep pocketed cargo shorts and want to wear a belt for the weight of the Switch.
Plus the Switch has a fairly short battery life and has more draining games than the 3DS.
Also, the Switch is £300 so there's not a chance in hell that I'm going to risk carrying it around with me where I can drop it or knock it. Parents of young kids aren't going to buy them as a carry-around handheld either.

Plus, the 3DS has the benefit of a large group of developers attached to making smaller less intensive games for a handheld console.
The 3DS also has stylus support which to be honest is the best aspect of the DS/3DS family, and gives us all the puzzle/drawing games which no other consoles do (Switch included).

And I'm just very thankful that the 3DS/2DS has a web browser and notepad feature, because it's very helpful for puzzle games or quickly looking up how to evolve a pokemon. Switch needs a web browser.

except even nice brands of headphones put stress on your ears and hurt after ten minutes of use.

no thanks, I'll stick with reliable ear buds

Why are the 3d cameras on the bottom part? They're just gonna get scratched

Dooble I'm pretty sure there will be a web browser, they already have one that you can kind of use but not for searching up anything you want.

Earbuds never fit in my ears

I imagine they'll bring one out, but for the life of me I can't understand why it didn't launch with one.
Every other games console out at the moment has one, including the 3DS, so there's no reason why the Switch shouldn't have had one.

I only have LoZ:BOTW and 1-2-Switch, so I have very little else to do on my Switch if it currently doesn't have the web, or Netflix or YouTube. Nintendo should want me on the Switch as much as possible, rather than me picking up my phone.

Well I'm just gonna have to guess it's finishing touches.

Btw if you look you can find some neat games on the store, Snipperclips, MK8D, Fast RMX, Lego City Undercover, that one party game and more.

I will have to give the Switch catalogue a good look, as I mostly got the Switch for BOTW and have been heavily invested in that. But obviously I want to do more with my Switch.

I'm hesistant to buy digitally though as my experience with the 3DS eShop was that it was always much more expensive than buying physical copies if I shopped around.

Mario Kart is top on my list currently though.
