How has nobody listed Wings of Vi?
If you can beat this on the highest difficulty with all of the modifiers on, I think you become god because dang, the thing's hard.
My only issue is that occasionally the fire demons teleport onto you :/

The original Crash Bandicoot is pretty hard because of the D-Pad and stuff. If you want to take it a step further, try to 100% the game. Good luck.

Meh I always though Crash 1 was never that hard. 100% is still an annoyance being that you can't die at all, but imo a little persistence and anybody should do fine.

Now doing the time trials in Sly Cooper on the other hand was just loving brutal. Most of them require an absolute flawless playthrough and some of them I only was able to pass with milliseconds to spare and after a huge multitude of tries.

crash 3 is way more difficult to 100% because of all the obnoxious vehicle levels, ESPECIALLY area 51

TowerFall seems right up your alley, the game gets pretty damn difficult on the harder difficulties. if you play and like the main story, make sure to grab the dark tower dlc which adds a buttload of new content.

Receiver ($5) and Teleglitch: Die More Edition ($13). Hardest goddamn games I've ever played. Never beaten Receiver, only managed to get halfway. Haven't even gotten 2/5ths the way through Teleglitch. They're extremely difficult, both pretty original, and not expensive in the slightest. Highly recommend if you're into difficult games.
