You just have to select the hire option a lot and eventually he is hired and you get past

the bonesaws are near forgetall to dodge
when you are 1 HP you don't get any heal needles
plus theres no save spot in the basement hall, so you have to go through the entire process of medigun
ok actually the bonesaws are even worse because they still damage you when fading
needlegun can be dodged by doing actually nothing
nvm needlegun is actually stuff

basicly you suck. Sorry but its not the games fault you suck at dodging, bonesaws were easy to dodge, after a few times you understand the pattern. Heal needles are more frequent when your lower.
Plus you do know theres a save point litterary outside of the house.

actually, you could just backtrack to the save point right before you engage medi or after the medigun part, but yeah i see your point
