Is facial hair unprofessional?

I don't think so. However my parents do. They have the mindset that you HAVE to be clean shaven to be presentable. Don't get me wrong. Some people can grow nasty looking facial hair, but theres other styles that I find are acceptable.
I have a full beard. I shave my neck and the loopy part on my sideburns. I have it well kept. I shampoo it and everything. I unfortunately had the displeasure of shaving the whole thing off and now I look like a lesbian. My parents wanted me to do it because they want me to apply for jobs which I do. I can see it becoming an issue if I was to work with food, but I specifically avoided foodwork.

Anyway, do you find facial hair to be professional?

Facial hair can make people look more professional tbh but when you have a beard that goes down to your chest and you have to move to eat things that's when it gets bad.
