how the forget can you not like 2d indie games

most of them are really good
I'm the same as Red as far as that. Grew up on the PS1. I can objectively recognise that there's great gameplay in a lot of 2D games, but I absolutely hate playing them on a personal level. Would rather just sit and watch YouTube.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat boasts good RPG/Adventure elements and enjoyable but not heavy survival elements. It's an older game so it shouldn't be too hard to run. It's open world and sandbox-y in the terms that you can roam and hunt artifacts and bandits and trade gear rather than being forced to do the main quests, I have 300+ hours on the game and still haven't finished it lol

It's also got good mods which are pretty easy to install if you're not a fan of the relatively rough base mechanics, I see you like Insurgency so you might like the Misery mod which introduces hardcore gun mechanics, or Call of Chernobyl which is more focused on open-world free roam stuff. Or Call of Misery if you want both at the same time with lots of crashes

action games but its gonna have to be good

DOOM was actually a really good experience for me in terms of linear FPS shooter

sonic adventures 2

if you like survival, you might like don't starve

there's don't starve together if you feel like playing with friends but if you don't just get the other one.

flatout 1

i'd also recommend witcher 3 since it's the best game ive ever played but idk if ur forgetin laptop can run it

doom classic complete is only $15 right now.

And it's pretty much the original games running dosbox, meaning you can use a soureport like GZdoom.

ive never really looked at stalker but this does look like it'd be fun. if you're talking about the new doom, ive been heavily considering it
sonic adventures 2
i only play mario games sorry

i have witcher 2 and it was aight but yeah my comp had trouble even running that lol

tbh i didn't enjoy 2 an awful lot and it actually ran worse with med settings on my pc than tw3 w/ high settings. have no idea if you'd get the same result. i have a junk fx-8320E cpu bottle-necking a gtx 1070 gpu

Try Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead. It's a free, open source and open world survival roguelike. It has a super steep learning curve, but It meets a lot of the criteria for the things you like.

Make to download the latest experimental build if you decide to play.

i actually own this game and i play as waluigi every time

go for it, stuff is fun as hell

and although it may be sacrilege to say this, as the OST is super rad, listening to your own "forget yeah" music while you're playing only enhances the experience. you ever shoot a spooky demon in the face while listening to denzel curry???
