86% of the Muslims there support sharia law, and 62% of those people support the death penalty for leaving Islam. 
That's 53% of all Muslims in Malaysia that are extremists.

Now look at the rest of them.

well im talking even from a muslim conquests standpoint and the political instability there. european societies owe some of their political unity to repulsing the muslim invasions in the early middle ages

well im talking even from a muslim conquests standpoint and the political instability there. european societies owe some of their political unity to repulsing the muslim invasions in the early middle ages

ye sure. i definitely think that the middle east could have seen some form of benefit if it remained a part of european societies, i just don't think it'd have anything to do with religion. we probably would have missed out on a fair bit as well though, since there have been some number of beneficial middle eastern developments in that time frame
