Author Topic: Republican candidate charged with assault after body-slamming Guardian reporter  (Read 7700 times)

If he did it like that, well that's rather impressive. We'd have to weigh the pros and cons here.

do we weigh them during or after the slam?

demonizing him for it is ridiculous.
except actually no it isn't

hes right if we do not impeach Annoying Orange right now greg gianforte is going to come to your house (yes you) and beat the living stuff out of you

Ugh if you freakin lib tards keep freaking out in my thread im  deleting my twitter

except actually no it isn't
if it was a republican reporter who got bodyslammed by a democrat i'd say demonizing the democrat would be equally wrong

reporters are incredibly annoying when you're a politician/celebrity. they hover over you like flies and do everything they can to twist what you say to fit their agenda, manipulate the conversation to go the way they want, etc.

while i don't support what he did to the reporter, i don't blame him for doing it either; if i was in his place i would've probably done something less drastic though like swat the mic/camera out of his hand and tell him to go away

Sounds like you both need to work on your self control

people need to realize that having a neat little journalism license or whatever the forget does not entitle you to be an starfish who disrespects personal space and badgers people constantly

one of the reasons celebrities are so loving nuts is that the media is made almost exclusively of manipulative cunts who make bank off of reporting every little thing that you do, including all your family problems and other personal stuff
as much as I dislike Kanye West and cannot understand his popularity, I don't blame him at all for his ridiculous outbursts at people taking photos of him, and unless you really love the spotlight, if you were in his position you'd be tearing your hair out too

Planr was right in his brown townogy, the media is a swarm of flies
they're a business, and as such they will (as repeatedly shown to this date) blow things out of proportion or just outright lie to rake in the profits

look at their coverage of Michael Jackson or Bill Cosby
you'd think both were insane serial rapists who act like children and have "connections" despite the lack of actual evidence for any of the women coming forward against Cosby, their changing accounts of what happened and the fact that Jackson settled the child rape case out of court for a fraction of a fraction of what he was worth, a case by the way that was clearly going in favor of Jackson
you wanna talk about Hollywood racism, Bill Cosby and Michael Jackson are two of, if not the most successful black men in the entertainment industry ever, and now they're being slandered by opportunists in both the news and elsewhere to steal what they rightfully earned

forget it always goes back to Cosby with me

We needed a strong man and we got one

if he gets elected after this I'll be worrying about the state of the world
He did get elected but mostly as a result of 2/3rds of the votes being cast before this event happened.

so being a journalist doesn't entitle you to badger people, but being a politician entitles you to physically assault people without consequence? weird the way these things work out.

I mean like, that sounds pretty much exactly what you said, sans paragraph-long diatribe against media and pop culture. You're gonna have to elaborate here.

Also like, assault isn't a personal issue. It's a criminal issue lol. There's a reason it goes to criminal court rather than civil court.

He's obviously going to say body slamming people is a-ok

I mean, this entire thread is just Tactical Nuke scraping the bottom of the barrel for any excuse to defend this guy. I don't think he believes body slamming people is okay, but he's clearly somewhat deluded.
