get new vegas. also, 1 and 2 play like horsestuff so keep that in mind if you decide you wanna follow Tony's advice.

don't buy from GOG on this one. Theres no noticable DRM on the steam version and the normal price is GOG's sale price.

also, 1 and 2 play like horsestuff

read: its a turn-based combat system and it has the handicapped difficulty that every dos game  has. still good tho you should buy em.

Get both and install the Tale of Two Wastelands mod. It makes FO3 good (by intertwining it with NV's gameplay mechanics).

Oh yeah, oh.

I don't know what you expect from old 90s videogame isometric turn based RPGs that were made before 3D graphics became fully utilized.

Even Baldur's Gate played smoother, and that game was made by the satan of RPGs.

No it didn't.

Also it was easier to fully forget up your game preventing you from progressing if you killed the wrong person in Baldur's gate.

I still find the combat smoother and the mecanics slightly better than the old fallout games

Fallout 1 was in 1997.

Fallout 2 was in September 1998.

Baldur's gate was December 1998. (Practically 1999 at that point)
