Author Topic: PAYDAY 2 was free but you missed it (you had 5 days loser)  (Read 5619 times)

It's free because they're releasing a new version with all the DLC within it that you'll need to buy if you want the rest of the content

So no, you don't get any DLC (Im 90% sure of this) and you'll need to wait for the new version to come out to own it

nice now my cheapskate friends can finally play it with me

you don't get the DLC with it

but the DLC is being bundled into a cheaper price (all for like 10% of original cost or something), and no longer offered individually

lol I'm so glad they're moving it to an entire bundle, it was a hassle to buy the dlcs.

loving FIRE IN THE starfish

Just picked it up, thanks.

I was in a Discord call when the news came, and we were all loving hyped. PAYDAY 2 is such a good game. Pick it up, only <5,000,000 copies left.

If I'm not mistaken the website mentions it'll be priced according to however much content you already own.

I assume it'll be a regular Steam bundle where you only pay for whatever items in the bundle you don't own, and still get the discounted price. So, should be a pretty good deal.

Additionally, they plan to continue developing the game until October 2018, and all new content from now on will be free.

Overkill are pretty awesome and have pretty well made up for the mess the game has gotten itself into every now and again (see also: an earlier attempt at microtransactions that are thankfully no longer relevant).

I tried to beat the hecc out of a Bulldozer with boxing gloves.

didn't work that well. it's a great game with friends nevertheless

I'm always curious what happened to their crate system
like you're supposed to buy drills, but some of the safes I get I can just open for free

What's with this "it's free right now to own forever, but it'll be pay-for later" thing? This is the second game that's done this AFAIK and the first one was on Humble Bundle (or was it GOG?) and not Steam, so it's not like it's some thing Steam is doing to get more users to download their software.

I mean, I'm not complaining. Free stuff!

just a coincidence dude, overkill did it with payday the heist too

L4D2 was free to keep for a day
there's been many other games on steam/humble bundle that were free to keep for a limited time, just not quite as big as L4D2/payday 2
