animation kind of reminders me of kill la kill

this is a way better show than I expected, but there sure are a lot of steven universe refrences, I'll list a few

Shannon and Dendy are the two halves of Peridot's personality, dendy is what peridot was supposed to be, a cold hearted programmer with little to no personality, still I like dendy as a character though, and Shannon is what earth made of peridot. they also both sound like her, and if that wasn't enough, the peridot gem on her chest is

in the fight against mega jethro, rad is whipping things at jethro in the exact same way that amethyst whips things at the lapis clones in ocean gem to similar effect, he also shouts "do it" like amethyst does in this video, its even a shot looking down on rad just like this one

there is a gate in episode 7 "dendy" that says "Keep Out 'Please'" on it

the creator of the show worked on SU so I cant be surprised.

anyway, ive watched almost all of the episodes that are out so far and not one disappointed me

Isn't that the norm for anything that's new? Starts out getting a lot of attention, but then it normalizes over a span of time?

consider also the place OK KO is right now on the schedule, which is to say like four times a week

take an inexperienced marketing guy and tell him to either keep or can the show based on the downwards trend here

those are probably premiere day views. people probably also won't sweat too much about missing new episodes when they're pretty much guaranteed to air again really soon. on the other hand the last time steven universe aired was literally july iirc (when the last new episodes aired)

the response to OK KO has been really good though compared to any of their other shows. idk if any of em picked up a fandom as quickly as OK KO did. even with steven universe, it didn't really pick up until the second season

The name fits the situation.
It was ok until it got ko.

damn....run and tell dat

is it me or did they focused a little bit on the butts of the female characters

i mean its not so hard to design a female character without focusing on their ass

and one of them has basically their buttcheeks out

if the fandom ever finds its way to tumblr, they'll never shut the forget up about how the female characters are actually shamelessly attractive looking and will claim the show "objectifies women" even though the target audience of the show looks at them just like ko does. that scene from the elodie episode when ko asks elodie a question, he's looking right up her skirt, us teens/adults get it, but kids watching the show don't give it a second thought

there's already a pretty sizable OK K.O. community on tumblr, and yeah, it's been brought up, but like with any other discourse, it's localized and easy to ignore. and it's mostly just been cus there's not been a lot of variance in the female designs, which is a fair criticism to make imo cus they do use the same body types a lot. doesn't hurt my enjoyment of the show and it seems like most people agree

who cares about the girls anyway when there's quality husbandos like lord boxman

nice to know SJWs are still crying about over-fantasized women while Mr. Gar is literally a shirtless muscle man with an 8-pack and "kill'em in one hit" powers

Speaking of Lord Boxman, fun fact; He's voiced by Jim Cummings, who also did the voices for Disney's Pete, Dr. Robotnik from the 1990s Sonic TV series, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Taz the Tasmanian devil

But the voice Jim does for Lord Boxman is more akin to that of Pete
