you're right, it does change nothing. all for-profit news outlets will obviously entertain bias and yellow journalism because that's how they stay in business and that's how their journalists are able to earn money and stay alive.

I rarely cite cnn as a reliable source but even they have a whole article on why earning profits as a news corporation is loving important. The 'russia' narrative is just there because rich people on the left will pay top dollar to be on the offensive, just like the 'obama born in kenya' narrative was probably funded by prominent people on the right.

You can't really have an expectation of privacy from public sites with all of the tracking companies and governments are doing these days. That doesn't excuse CNN's behavior, but the guy kind of gave them a bunch of very public material to hold over him in the first place. I don't have any sympathy for him.
