So the course I'm taking in college requires a drawing tablet, what do you guys recommend?
The minimum requirements only say that I require a touchpad with a digital stylus and uses the Wacom Bamboo as an example but what do you recommend? I would prefer a touchscreen one but those are FAR too expensive for me. Keep in mind these tablets have to be available in Canada

What is the maximum / preferred price you want to pay for one?

wacom is god-tier but super-duper pricey

like "I'm buying another computer" pricey

100-400 maybe?

if you really really need a screen tablet the best bang for your buck would be this monoprice tablet

its on sale and i have one and i like it. only problem is that theres no replacement pens so if you lose yours you're forgeted

Don't need a display go with this https://us-store.wacom.com/Catalog/Pen-Tablets/Intuos-pro/Intuos-Pro-small#/undefined1

Need a display, go with what Trog suggested

i have this too and would recommend it. i have some driver problems, but it seems like it might just be smth with my software configuration. you can supposedly buy replacement stuff from parblo coast tho

before this, i had a wacom intuos ctl480 which only cost me like $50, but there are probs newer ones now for the same price point, and defo better ones if you can go higher

thats a relief i was so scared of somehow breaking my pen

ye i was really worried about it too before i bought it, but ya, it's exactly the same pen. just hope they continue to manufacture them lol

keep in mind tho that this is a big boy (22"), and if it's something that you need to bring to class every day, i don't think the mp22 is the right choice. it's not incredibly portable and it needs to be set up like a monitor.

the bamboo is outdated, get an intuos if you're looking for the Wacom quality but cant afford a cintiq, otherwise if those are still out of the price range everyone elses suggestions are good too

nibs are literally just plastic bitties so don't worry about buying those but I haven't had a good experience with parblo stuff, tablet practically fell apart within a couple of months. look into it if you want but don't skimp on quality

How accurate is it?

intuous series (4 and up) is really good in terms of accuracy, but is a bit on the pricy side, and the latest models tend to be big.

How accurate is it?
no issues there. the parallax (distance between surface of glass and the image) is the only thing you may get thrown off by, but i don't even notice it anymore. you can calibrate it like any other pen display type dealio too, so you shouldn't have many issues with the pen going anywhere other than where you put it

I think surface tablets are nice for drawing and doing basic school work on
