you are jim torrey, a 32 year old police officer inside a police car parked outside of a bagel shop in the middle of a town.

its a friday morning and you cant wait for your shift to be over so you can go home and sleep for the entire weekend. its been a long and boring week.

next to you in the drivers seat is your shift buddy tom. you dont really know him that well but you both know your shift is pretty boring and not much happens, so he's taking a nap right now

some people are walking on the sidewalks outside, you can see some windowshopping. lucky them to be able to take a day off on a day as nice as this.

what do you do? you can do anything you want, though right now you're eating a bagel.

its a wheat bagel with cream cheese. not the best youve had but its not too bad, given it cost only $3

more people pass outside. its still early and a few shops still havent opened. in the distance you see the steam rising from the nuclear power plant just outside of town

you step out of the vehicle and throw the bagel at a guy passing your car
you yell "loving QUEER GET THE forget OUTTA HERE"

he looks at you weird and backs off a few steps. people across the street look at you

you flip off the dude, who just goes "wtf" and leaves in the other direction after taking a pic of you and your buddy's car with his smartphone. people across the street stare but then go about their business.

you'd drive off if you could but tom is in the drivers seat and you cant exactly drive with him sleeping there

he looks at you weird and says "what the hell ...? are you okay??"
you dont see him going for his taser or anything so you guess he didnt hear what you did earlier

you can murder people and take bribes but right now the only bribe youd be getting is from tom (who is wondering what the forget you are doing) to get you to get back inside the car and just wait out the shift like a sane person

hes still looking at you weird and is debating whether or not to call into the station about you. luckily nobody from earlier is still around, in fact nobody is around except for the few inside the shops. guess you got really lucky.

wait, no, the bank manager is here to open the bank at the corner. shes not looking your way though

you leave tom behind and run over to the bank entrance. as she turns and looks at you, you draw your gun and scream "GET ON THE GROUND PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD AND TELL ME WHERE ARE THE DRUGS"

she screams and drops to the ground and gibbers that she doesn't know what you're talking about, naturally. nobody else is watching, except for tom. probably. you can't really tell cause he's behind you at the car.
