In first person, hands are visible. In third, they're not. Thats two separate models.

the visibility thingy was made using the LOD feature in milkshape, pretty cool stuff

thats still basically 2 models
It shouldn't really make a huge difference though. If the models are going to be low poly like this in the entire pack then duplicating the model won't really make a difference.

just saying, we already have like a thousand identical gun packs. i'd like to see something that breaks the mold for once.

we could use some proper metroid arm cannon weapons sometime

I think it looks cool, but I dislike how it remains static.

you know hiding and unhiding nodes on a model is a thing right

that doesnt give the same effect, it would cause the gun to still have animations in third person, just without hands
also the hands i use are seperate models not the ones a blockhead uses so yeah
