Author Topic: People cannot connect to my server  (Read 1296 times)

I've been hosting a MERP for the past few days. Everyone could connect until today. I have been trying to fix this problem, but there is no avail. I disabled the UPuP in the settings 2 days ago when I had some connection problems, and it worked fine until today.

UPnP is not always reliable, port forwarding is always reliable until another program uses the same port.

Did I do it right? I tried this and still, no one was able to join my server.

You have a weird router

Your computers IP probably changed. This happens every so often.

Change it into a static IP and redo the Port Forwarding with the new IP.

I have tried this, It didn't work.

I had the same issue recently, and it cropped up again at the same time as yours (Yesterday! a friend dropped out of the server, while I was AFK, and hasn't been able to join back, neither has anyone else.). I think it has something to do with the servers, rather than our hosting individually, last time someone contacted Badspot on the issue.

I just contacted him about it. The matchmaker's back up, so people who're using UPNP [i think is what is used] can host again.

the things fixed don't worry about it anymore
