how can it work if it's not a delorean?

time machine dude
nothing is old
Time is relative, and relatively speaking, you're wrong.

someone should kill him

well, maybe not kill him but I'm seriously advocating for someone to stop this guy from building a time machine
do you know how disastrous that would be?

scientist shines flashlight into computer, millions baffled

real talk though, if he succeeds in his finding, it won't make us able to travel through time, but it may be able to send information back in time. practically, you could make instantaneous internet or send messages from space stations to earth instantly rather than waiting like, 2 minutes

Y- You realize he was cracking a joke right?

If time travel were possible we would have known about it by now because he would have went back in time to tell us about it.

Thus, there is no time travel.

My theory is that time travel is transfer between an inconceivable amount of timelines and as such someone will only appear in a single timeline if they go back. Additionally if someone were to go back in an attempt to stop Lincoln's assassination attempt for example and they landed in this timeline they would ultimately fail.

Thus, there is no time travel.
traveling forward in time is time travel, and it does exist and has been proven to work under certain circumstances

we're literally time travelling right now at one second per second, it's absolutely amazing. technology has come so far

if he's talking about using "time travel" for instantaneous travel time stuff and all that then that's not a problem

if it's like a "go back in time and change history" kind of thing then that's some SCP-level stuff that needs to go forget itself
