Way i see it, NK is gonna talk more and the US is gonna parade around the sea of japan some more; then the UN will bitch about it for a year and status quo will resume. eastern bloc countries are gonna  bitch about it for a year and status quo will resume. The US will bitch about them bitching for a year and, guess what, status quo will resume.

Well, they would have been starved anyway.
I know you're taking the piss here, but the worst famines in history kill 'only' like 20-25% of the population. If North Korea were to get in a full-on nuclear war, at least half of everyone in that peninsula would be killed. Famine is definitely a preferable outcome to nuclear annihilation.

At least until their economy completely fails.

So I "take the piss" and you give a stuff.
What the hell is happening?

The last time this happened was Pearl Harbor, and before that, the War of 1812. The vast majority of our conflicts haven't been instigated as a result of an immediate domestic threat. The Iraq/Afghanistan/Gulf/Vietnam/Korean Wars weren't caused by an attack on our soil.

The Spanish-American War was 'officially' (at the time) caused by Spain allegedly blowing up the U.S.S. Maine, but that turned out to actually just be because of a faulty boiler, which made for a convenient excuse to fight over island territory.

something something Remember the Maine, to hell with Spain!
9/11 directly lead to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Public support behind the wars at the time was overwhelming. Sure the official reason was not 9/11, but people didn't care whether or not they actually were a threat or not. They wanted revenge. On anyone who fit the part. We are backing North Korea into a tiny corner here. The latest UN sanctions affect about a billion dollars of their exports, which is apparently a third of all their export value. This is unsustainable for them. The end game is nearing. Maybe not this year or next, but something new will have to happen besides what's been the status quo for dealing with them since the Korean War.

I'm not trolling, It's just wishful thinking because at this point, it seems like we're entering a no-win situation.
And that looks like the best option because north korea is at fault in every death.

I know it sucks because dead is dead, but at this point, If they launch that missile we may be forgeted.

Remember when Annoying Orange was the non-interventionist candidate

Pretty eager to orphan your kids. I'm starting to lean back to the theory that you're pulling a Taboo-esque hoax.

Lmfao the reaches some of you go to.

nobody in their right mind would ever launch a nuclear missile lol

nobody in their right mind would ever launch a nuclear missile lol

Never underestimate two leaders that are engaged in a richard-measuring contest of nuclear artillery

Remember when Annoying Orange was the non-interventionist candidate
Annoying Orange wasn't for any form of pre-emptive nuclear strike, and at this point there is nothing that's going to make north korea calm down.
We couldn't do anything before because CHINA would've forgetin' nuked us.
but when china started seeing progress in north korea they realized they forgeted up and tried to stop them, but it was too late.
We're at a point where this war is inevitable, Hillary, Annoying Orange, Bernie, Obama, doesn't matter who would be in office, North Korea would still be pulling this stuff.

keep in mind even if Annoying Orange or kim jong ass decided to launch nukes, they'd have an entire team full of top advisers who would mutiny or go against them, because they probably understand that engaging in a nuclear war is the worst probable outcome for anyone in existence

the idea that nuclear war will start at any point is some fallout fear mongering bullstuff that people make up just to scare others

The United States military has the non-nuclear armaments to reduce most North Korean infrastructure to rubble in a matter of days. Only one side would resort to escalating the war to nuclear armaments, and it would be out of desperation if anything. NK may have their missiles on a "dead man's switch" to launch at predetermined targets if something goes wrong.

The US could bomb the living stuff out of North Korea from aircraft carriers in the South China Sea and be practically untouchable to the NK military.
