ive lost a lot this past month. it feels like im about to lose everything, and its all my fault. i feel like an idiot. i feel like things will only get worse. im scared of what will happen next. luckily i have toby with me, and i find genuine comfort in that. as long as i have toby, i think, somehow, everything will be ok

on the sunny side i saw alien: covenant last night. its probably one of the greatest/unnerving alien movies next to the original. walter/davids character development was amazing, and the interaction between the two is probably some of the best stuff ive seen in cinema this year. the music selection was awesome, and i think "the entry of the gods into valhalla" might be my new theme song

Woke up from a nap at 8:30 PM because marching band was practicing right outside of my window. Went and took a bus to go get some tacos for dinner. There were firetrucks because their meat trompo lit on fire or something. After I ate, I stopped into a CVS to buy some candy and sponges. The lady at the counter showed me where they are, and when I came up to check out, she was like, "Oh I thought you meant the other sponges." And I was like, "What other sponges?" and she was like, "Y'know, the body washing type." So then I said, "Well, ultimately they're all the same thing, right?" and then she chuckled but it didn't really seem like she thought it was funny. Then, I took a bus back to my dorm, and I chatted with the bus driver about free jazz. He told me not to listen to too much Ornette Coleman because it'll make me go crazy. It's prudent advice but I don't think I'll follow it.

My girl is in NYC with her sister watching Wicked. Kids are staying with their grandparents. Bad week at work. This is the loneliest I've ever been.
