Author Topic: Screen recorders leaving out 2 columns of pixels of my screen  (Read 2795 times)

set ur game resolution to 1364x768
I don't want 1364 though, i have a 1366x768 monitor, there's no reason that i shouldn't be able to utilize all 1,049,088 pixels

If i'm setting my resolution to anything, it's 1280x720, but that's a last resort

does this happen with other recording methods? still and motion?
ie printscreen, snipping tool, windows recording stuff, other recording software you have

Game DVR doesn't work with Gmod, but with Chrome and Blockland, it records at 1376x776, which, i'm not even sure how that's possible considering how it's going past my resolution, and the resolution i ran Blockland at (which was borderless 1366x768)

Print Screen screencaps the entire 1366x768 resolution as it should

And the only other recording program i have is Fraps, but that doesn't seem to work anymore, even if i run it in compatibility mode for Windows 7

Also, i have AMD, so i don't have Nvidia Shadowplay

did you count all of them or somethin

did you count all of them or somethin
some people go about problems in different ways
while you may start counting pixels, others may start doing math
sucks for those who can't math

(I hope he did count the pixels, that'd be hilarious)

get a second moniter and a capture card. then you can record anything with a moniter or a screen.
great post

get OBS
OBS does the same thing, except for some reason, the videos it puts out are really laggy even though there's no lag while it's recording, Camtasia doesn't lag during nor after recording, so i'm working with that more than OBS right now

I math'd

VirtualDub can record at 1366x768, but it's AVI capture is really laggy

are these two columns really necessary for what you're doing? this kinda seems like a non-issue

Not really, but it's still a weird issue i'd like to fix if i can

Anyway, i'm just gonna go with either recording at 1280x720, or stretching the video by two pixels, but i'm just peeved that this is happening for no apparent reason
