before you start laughing at this stuff, keep in mind that he says this was the state of the game in 2011. it makes sense if the game never got off the ground because they couldn't loving decide on an actual direction to take the game in.

imagine being laidlaw with a very solid story concept that fits in with the rest of the series (maybe a little too well) and then you get these clowns wolpaw and faliszek saying nah, let's put some other random stuff in the game. repeat for damn well near 10 years. pretty sure I'd leave before laidlaw actually did.

Pictured: Gabe Newell attempting to stash Wolpaw and Faliszek's drugs so they'll finish the loving story

Seems more like what Episode 3 would've been than what Half-Life 3 would be. In fact it looks like it would've been leading into Half-Life 3 where Alyx takes over as the player character or something. That's just my thoughts.

We finally have closure, but it hurts so much at the same time.

NDA likely broke, since ep3 was probably cancelled before ep2 releasing, this is the entire story to ep3, not half life 3.

This is also what Marc would have written the game in 2007-2008 to be, There were likely many iterations that weren't as good as this that took place and were wrote years later

I just felt my richard shrivel up

this is the entire story to ep3, not half life 3.
I hope this is the case

half life 2 sucked really bad and I could go into major detail like I have. It's literally the same as duke nukem forever.

People said it's my fault I played half life 1 first instead of starting with HL2 "like every normal person"

they are seriously telling me I shouldn't have started with the first game lol. Well after playing the first game it really showed how bad the second game was.
