He was supposedly manning a Twitter account named 'BreenGrub' back in 2012, so this obviously isn't something he just came up in the past year. This is a plotline that's been there for years and VALVe never made a game from it.
He's not covering his ass, there was enough internet traffic to take down his website.
Everyone clicking at once over "EPISODE 3!!!!!!!!" you would think would cause enough of a blast to take down his site
