
idk if you're posting this ironically but if the Congo swapped to Communism those people would still be dying. They don't have the resources they need to survive because they're in a less habitable and less developed region of the world. The easiest way to fix this would be 1st world intervention--aka getting serious with foreign aid programs. If we diverted half of all military spending to foreign aid we could probably cut that number in half within a few decades and we'd
still be the strongest nation in the world. Capitalism is bad because it benefits a very small percentage of the population and hurts the majority. socialism is the way to go and this is supported by the undeniable fact that moderate socialist countries are the happiest in the world for the vast majority of the population.
there's no market system that will make everyone happy. but I'd rather the 99% live happily than 1% of the people.
