R I  G H T if we don't do jack stuff about this

or we do neither of those two horrible options and instead make no risky decisions, that way 0 people will die.

you absolutely love to black and white this entire situation. there's objectively better choices than the two that you are suggesting, both of which will never actually loving happen because both the us and nk have a full team of smart, intelligent advisors who know when a decision is loving horrible

also this whole thing about 'them already being starving therefore everything is null and void' is the single most autistic thing i've ever heard. if you sanction north korea and they have no source of income, they will have no way to produce weapons, continue testing nuclear devices, and of course their economy will suffer heavily. all this combined has been in effect for a while, you just see 'because they haven't stopped its not working' which once again is just a simple black and white summary of an extremely complex scenario

And these smart, intelligent advisors in North Korea have been recommending Kim continue to threaten the allies of the US, the largest military in the world, while building up it's nuclear capabilities, slowly assuring that it's threats are more and more of a possible reality rather than the rantings of an insane fat little stuff? You act like North Korea has acted reasonably before. The only reason they haven't launched a strike on any of their neighbors is because of the response they'd get from the US, and they won't have a reason to fear that response when they've gotten the ability to slap their nukes onto ICBMs and fling across the ocean to forget our stuff up. People like you would rather wait until the entire western coast get's glassed before we do anything. You really want to sit here with our roosters in our hands while they pull out a revolver, point at us, and describe the different ways they're going to forget our corpse while loading bullets into the chambers. I mean jesus christ

0 north Koreans will die*
millions of americans will die*
there I have corrected your statement

explain

I dunno what to tell you. It is. The APA, WHO, and the UN Secretary-General's Study on Violence Against Children all agree that hitting your child is abuse. I'm more confused on how you came to understand that it isn't?

also you guys realize that NK's mass starvation was in the 90s, not right now, yeah?

I could not give less of a stuff who classified it as child abuse, so I guess you guys will see me in about 15 years when I spank the stuff out of my 10 year old when they set the rug on fire out of boredom

geez dude if you wanna abuse children then i won't stand in your way

fearmongering 101.

why on earth would they 'slap their nukes onto icbms and fling across the ocean to forget our stuff up' when they're already at bay from the 'the response they'd get from the us.' you seem to have this contradictory idea that the moment they make icbms the us is doomed and will sit back and hug their loved ones.

its sad because the entire hypocrisy of your points is that we should 'take them out before they take us out' meanwhile you won't accept that they have the same mentality about us. the reason we aren't attacking each other is because both parties understand fully that if they were to attack it would mean annihilation to both. invading north korea would initiate their attack, them invading us would initiate our attack. the entire basis of your argument is that fact alone except 'they dont deserve to have nukes'

No, but the minute they have ICBMs we have to fear their nuclear response. Do you not know how mutually assured destruction works or are you just trying to be contrarian at this point?

obviously you don't know how mutually assured destruction works because you're an avid supporter of giving them a good smacking, which you somehow think won't trigger any sort of armed response from north korea

we have to fear the nuclear response from every country that has nuclear weapons, and they have to fear us too. this is what life is like in a world with wmd. however, the point of mutually assured destruction is that it's loving autistic and only the most suicidal and satanic of people on earth who are in mental hospitals are capable of even authorizing such a loving thing. you think that north korea is fine with that, that every person on kim's advisory team is fine with killing themselves and their families just to prove some weird richard-measuring contest of a point

How do you think they'll have time to launch anything if it's a preemptive strike

How do you think they'll have time to launch anything if it's a preemptive strike
so pearl harbor them and hope we 1) don't get nuked by them, and 2) hope we dont get forgeted over by the rest of the world

thank loving god our government is comprised of people who know what they're doing and not people like you that think life is just one big call of duty swoop in bay of pigs style and have no form of armed response

how about instead of your little 'preemptive invasion' of a government with nuclear devices we assess the more realistic and objectively safer options that are available to us outside of fantasy land

lets see there's:
- peace talks
- agreements/nuclear deals
- sanctions
- neutrality

the only defense you have against any of these tame and intelligent responses to armed conflict are 'but it wont do anything!' even though all of the above options have been proven to work (sanctions not so much)

I wonder if they just staged the shockwaves?

tbh i think we should just try and ask them what it is they're hoping to gain
