i havent used finger ID login, wont be using face either
ill always stick to code tbh, and the more digits the better
Honestly the Touch ID feature is one of the best things to come out for iPhone. Apple also allows devs to access its auth feature and log in or purchase something using just Touch ID. It's improbable for an every day person to have their fingerprint spoofed, so it's the most secure method for authentication, period. It's speedy, rarely do I ever have a case where my password would have been faster, and that's mostly because the ID feature may have had a slight hiccup.
On the topic of face ID, I'm hesistant. It needs to be
at least as fast as Touch ID. Having to access the camera and authenticate through facial recognition feels like it would be clumsy and a poor tradeoff for removing the option to have Touch ID.
it captures a 3D model of your face, which i'm pretty sure is Apple trying to avoid Samsung's fatal flaw with their face id capturing only a 2D image. the only thing that makes me worry is if the iPhone is looking for a 3D face, i feel like it might make it less accurate in bright light and darkness, or just more slow in general
It's supposed to have Infrared recognition, iirc, so lowlight would be a non-issue I'd assume.
