Author Topic: What's with the lack of enviornment files?  (Read 1513 times)

I'm barely seeing anything new, no new skies, no new water, etc.

Skyboxes with moving clouds aren't hard to come by but everyone that joins my server is like "wow never seen that before"

I'll try putting my own stuff out but does like no one care about environment files?

Want more high res, scrolling galaxy sky

People request more addon files that are not environment like, that is why we lack them.

also i haven't noticed any environments using $Sky::windVelocity

Starry night sky
Cloudy light rain sky
Cloudy moonlit night
Sunset Starlit Sky

if someone made a tutorial on how to make skyboxes im sure there would be a lot more

i have a ton of skybox ideas i just dont have the knowledge to make one

If you don't think people are making enough, make some.

Yes would be nice if more people were making some, but if it's something you want badly and are capable of doing it, then do it.

WE HAVE WIND?!

What does that do, change projectiles speeds?

no wind

Code: [Select]
$Sky::windVelocity 1 0 0

Yeah, particles have a "windCoefficient" property that allows them to be affected by wind.
I don't think it affects projectiles though.

If I remember it only affects emitter nodes (emitters on bricks, static shapes, etc.) and the environment particles (rain/snow/etc.)

I'd like to see some skyboxes that look like paintings.

no but seriously if one of you has the knowledge can you post a tutorial thread or send me a message or something id love to make some environments.

I'd make a gradient skybox pack if I knew how too, like that one released forever ago except with much more varied types of weather
