New to Blockland, have some questions...

I just started with Blockland this weekend. So far, it rocks, but I have some newb questions.

1. What's the difference between Blockland and Return to Blockland? I've been all over both forums and still don't really know if RTB is just an expansion, or if it's something else.

2. Is there a newbie guide somewhere? Not the tutorial, but a quick how-to on things like mini games, common mods, building tools (like /duplicate - which I still can't get to work), the wand (still don't really know what that is) etc. I took me a while to figure out what a mini game was and how to join it, and no one on any of the 10 servers I connected to offered any help at all. I think I have a good handle on it now, but it would have been really nice to have some sort of FAQ or how-to to read first.

3. What are the most common add-ons? I'd like to download these ahead of time whenever possible.

1. RTB was a mod for the beta version of Blockland, the version for Retail Blockland is to be out soon. Its basically just a mod, primitive to what Blockland currently is.

2. RTB Wiki, http://returntoblockland.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

3. Anything made by Kaje, Ephialtes, Ladios, Space Guy, and one other dude Trader. You might also be interested in Aloshi's and Bushido's mods. You'll just have to join servers and see what people have.

RTB is a mod to blockland, It used to be out on the old blockland. it will be coming out for retail again soon (maybe?)

Really, it's /duplicator. And it only works on servers with the duplicator add-on enabled.

I personally suggest the Stunt Plane, the too far limit breaker, the Biplane, the Sniper Rifle, the Auto Rocket Launcher, the Minigun, the Shotgun, the Flak Cannon, and (if you're planning on moving people long distances, like say, between planets in The Planets map) the Falchion Battleship. That's in the Modification Discussion, just FYI.

Oh, and I suppose I should get to work on a newbie tutorial. Sounds like a fun project. Also, the Wand is for breaking the bricks that your hammer can't break. A bit more dangerous, but more useful.

Wow, Bushido. Thank you. Checking into those now. The idea of a planet map so large I need a ship to transport people between areas is just... awesome.

First time I used it, I tripped a guy, than fired a shotgun straight onto him. I think it was Duckster.

He died instantly and bounced into the air. Most useful item ever, even if it's one-use.
