can i be the templar instead of the hunter? hunter's a douchebag anyways and he's like the weakest chosen
yea this game is playing with Templar Ally on start. also we have Grim Horizons so all dark events are permanent. tbh I thought reapears were the best bc of the claymore. it's set off by grenades and when upgraded does 12 damage and shreds armor. that + a rocket to set it off can completely shred even the most well-armored pods when you ambush them.
reapers are great early-game and on retaliation missions, but their lack of firepower makes them more of an asset than a soldier. compared to templar and skirmisher they really fail to put enough oomph into the fight. i'd say reapers are a stealth-based SHIV, and are only good for keeping eyes on enemy pods. the claymore is definitely really good though and should be used to decimate pods whenever possible
skirmishers are obviously the best class for mobility and have the potential to deal twice as much damage as other classes, but they are only suited for maps with a lot of height and buildings to them. templars and sparks are the front lines tank classes because they're definitely able to take a lot more hits than other units. especially once you get parry and the other skill that has a chance to deflect bullets, templars just become ultimate bullet soaking machines. if you get lucky and roll a bladestorm on the perk tree, you essentially won the game
