I also originally thought it was an LMG but it could just as easily be a fully automatic rifle with a drum magazine.

They are getting progressively more desperate as their hold over society and it's norms is rapidly diminished by the Annoying Orange administration. Fear is essentially the most powerful motivator but also the hardest to control, which is why it's employed secondarily to things like the moral high ground. This is the only way to get the liberal vote back.

have you ever been to a hotel? the extent of hotel security is like a bouncer at a club, completely reactive and if anything serious happens they just call police. they (usually) don't have metal detectors, X-rays, or check the contents of your bags
