typical ea forcing microtransactions down your throat on an 80 dollar game
yes i get that they've just dramatically reduced the cost of new heroes, but its still god damn bs that they arent included with the main game

let's just not buy it.

hell if you're really looking forward to it, just cancel your pre-order and wait a bit, that alone will send a message.

yiiikes i haven't checked back much on this game since i didn't rly enjoy this beta more than the other battlefront beta but ya things do not look all that promising

not to mention ruining starwars

I'm just worried that i'll dislike multiplayer even more in this game than in the last one due to OP players who continually kill everyone just because they paid 2 win. It kind of makes it one sided to those who don't pay.

it's $60?
i think he’s talking about how if you preorder the special edition which is $80, you still don’t have a lot of content unlocked and have to pay for it

i mean honestly you shouldn't have any unlocked to begin with, pre-orders shouldn't really be a thing, the only benefit you should get from them is a nice little statuette or a poster or something.  you shouldn't be able to pay money to have any sort of advantage over another player in the first place, that automatically tells me that a game is broken.

yeah that’s the point. if you don’t pay for the hero, it’s locked behind 40+ hours of gameplay before you can afford it with ingame currency

It's just depressing because the game itself looks pretty neat and the gameplay is an improvement over the last one and pretty fun.
But we got to make a stand against this ridiculous lootbox system that is becoming the standard.
I wouldn't mind paying for some customization or like at the very max, side grades, but that is not the case here.

I really want to buy the game, but taking a stance against this system is something i want to support too.
I know it brings in the money and there are more games/companies that do lootboxes (hence i doubt the effectiveness of only taking a stance here), but it's been too much, too far lately. This being a great example of how far they are willing to take it.

Lol I saw this thread bumped and somehow forgot I made it.

I've basically lost hope in this game.
