i'd expect some more demand the second time whereas this time it was apparent that it was going to be scarce/one-day-only
so not only do they get nerds into their stores by the truckload, they get round 2.

i mean, i had no intention of trying to get it yesterday but when they release it again in larger quantities over a longer period of time, sure i'll go try it.
