Whatever it is, it's tearing me apart. Quite literally.

FTL travel would be interesting, because everyone planet or station bound will experience time differently from you, it would make any meaningful interaction between ship and colony difficult.
finally, literal timezones

But first let's talk about parallel universes

when do you guys think humans will set foot on mars? elon musk's plans for manned mars missions in 2024 are very optimistic but ultimately i hope he succeeds.

hey can we talk about forgetin quasars

my opinion on space? there is way too much of it in between everything!! also it's cool

forget space. hes a friend

itt wannabe nerds
ive always questioned FTL travel

the way it works in cinema/games is pretty straightforward and simple but im afraid it isnt as simple as that

also what do you guys think dark matter is? we know it exists but we just dont know what it is or what its made of.
the only physically possible ftl explanation would be that it moves space around it

anyways responding to the op it's just that with higher gravity it's more likely to become a more spherical shape (for solid objects anyways)
another thing is that asteroids for instance erode each other so it tends to become a less spherical shape

FACT:

SPACE DOES NOT EXIST

What if dark matter is actually matter in a parallel universe, and gravity is the only force that can "permeate" universes?
Imagine a stack of papers, each with a universe on it; within each universe, all the normal laws of physics apply, but interactions are much weaker between those sheets. If you move a magnet on one side of a piece of paper, it can affect metal objects underneath it (except replace magnets with gravity).

what if dark matter is like the mystical counterpart to regular matter

kinda like there can be no shadow without light so they coexist but wtf is the shadow part

like the light and dark side of the force

idk im tired

what if the universe has a floor and we've been falling towards it for billions of years

The universe is doing a good job of pulling apart. The reason why there's a "Known universe" is because everything outside of the observable edge is moving so fast away from us, the light hasn't reached us yet and probably never will in time.
