Author Topic: Movies or Games you thought would be stuffty, but turned out o.k  (Read 2650 times)

Most recent example that comes to my mind is Mario + Rabbids which many thought it was going to be another cheap lazy cashgrab like most of the Rabbids games and also being a bizarro concept that couldn't possibly work well, right?

What we got in the end was a well-designed fun x-com-like strategy game with a lot of heart and soul poured in by the devs. Even the Rabbids in the game are more charming than annoying. That and it did have some legitimately funny moments.

Great game, recommend it if you have a Switch.

The new Pirates of the Caribbean movie did bad in the ratings, but I thought it was alright. It's Johnny Depp doing funny pirate stuff for 150 minutes. Nobody should be expecting some citizen kane stuff.

Halo 4 - Xbox 360

Saints row 2 - PC
How the forget did you enjoy either of these stuffty titles? They're two games that absolutely do not belong in this thread, but in a loving trash bin.
