Author Topic: Half-height Plates  (Read 1628 times)

Idk if this has already been done, but a pack of bricks that are half the height of plates(for both the top and bottom halves).
Smallbricks compatibly would be appreciated.
Not to be mistaken with the Half-Bricks

Well, this is possible, but I'm no add-on maker. And what do you mean by 'smallbricks compatibility'?

so you mean literally half the height of a plate? how would one make compatibility with any other brick? the best youd be able to do is put it on the water layer...

Compatibility with smallbricks meaning some .5 smallbricks in half-plate height.
Literally half the height of a plate, like the height of plate plane bricks.

I'm not sure if it would be worth using water layer if you're using zone bricks. I guess there would have to be one of each.

now we can finally get 1x modter even though you could just do it with the already cube-shaped 1x1 brick i mean why did we model it after .5 plates

a stud is 0.5 units wide. a plate is 0.2 units tall. it is not possible to do a 1x1 cube without heavily screwing with the brick grid of the brick you make. 2x2 cube is the smallest actual cube dimension you can have, at 5 plates high.

theres no way you will be able to have half plate high bricks be “compatible” with smallbricks without utilizing the water layer as bricks cannot overlap...

the smallest brick bounds-wise possible to make is a 1x1 plate. nothing smaller is possible. any bricks overlapping each other in the size of a plate is utilizing some trickery to make work.

I was saying that having one of each would be preferred because you'd be able to do what painting bricks does except in Z.
By compatible I meant making an addition to smallbricks for each corresponding size that are half plate height. Water layers would be required either way

oh, so you want facing upward/downward painting bricks. ok thats doable.

if i forget remind me with a pm

should'nt need half plates...just scale your build up??

You could make the same argument with smallbricks.
