Some of these people do horrific things like murder people, eat people, or forget their victims corpses. Some commit mass genocide, some kill themselves, some kill others before killing themselves.

It's not as much being 'upset' as being horrified and aghast by the cruel indifference of a universe that randomly assigns impressionable offspring to an irresponsible, conspiratorial, drug-addled, lazy stuffposter.
