Author Topic: Is it worth getting an Xbox One?  (Read 7539 times)

lmao just get a ps4 if u want console

Get the One X, Halo games will play and look better on there

Even the backwards compatible version of Halo 3
3 is already back compat on the normal one, but ye

Games still aren't being maxed out? Wasn't that the point of the One X? That it was so powerful that it could run games at their fullest potential?
you really shouldn't expect a console to run a game at it's fullest potential.
(Assuming you mean at your screen's full resolution, at 60 fps, with all of the graphics options you could get on PC maxed)

As someone who lives in a house with two Xbox Ones, nah. I never play them. The only thing they're used for even here is Destiny and the newest incarnation of that is on PC now.

While I do love Halo and probably will continue buying it, I feel like it's only a matter of time until the good ones get PC ports via the Windows Store.

halo 3 odst was released 8 years ago

holy stuff

Anyway, what I meant was the Master Chief Collection. It's already on the Xbox One, which is basically a stuffty Windows PC. Easy port job, easy money from suckers like me for the same old games.

It is not worth it to get an Xbox One.

The only real reason to buy a console is the exclusives and imo PlayStation and Xbox currently have weak exclusives

just use a pc and maybe a switch

just use a pc and maybe a switch
yeah that's my strategy
but i won't blame anyone for holding off on the switch, or for picking up a PS4
on the other hand I really don't see a reason to get an XB1

Xbox is currently the only console that has backwards compatibility with titles from all of its generations.

Or how about a system that is heavily optimized and guaranteed to run any game you buy for it. As well as a unified system for online play on all titles, not just ones on platforms like Steam or Origin.

Who's gonna say it first

You should say it first because all of my points are purely factual, instead of wasting an entire post to try and belittle me.

wow and people said I was pretentious with the logic stuff

pretty much any console game is optimized for a console, with gta 4 being an exception.

Is Xbox not the only system that you can put in a supported previous generation and have it install the game onto your console?
Do all games released for its platform not work on the platform?
Is the unified live service for things like friends, chat, parties, etc not stretch across every single title?

Im curious if your guys' main issue is the word "optimization", because its completely fine. Optimized doesn't mean its going to run maximum specs, it just means its going to run well.
