i'm getting the weirdest sense of deja vu
i've just been in this place before

he probably doesn't keep up with the newest 2 million dollar car model that can accelerate slightly faster than the previous 2 mil model. not many people do. What else is he supposed to say besides 'I don't understand why this is cool'
or why don't more people be like ceist and explain why it really matters instead of savages who viciously defend an automobile model like it's their dear mother
ok, no one is faulting him for that, ceist responded nicely to that post where he made it clear he didn't understand why it matters. but that's not exactly what pisses people off here, I can't really fathom why you missed that point but let me break it down

how does this matter
this was dismissive because he straight up barged in asking why you should get excited, as well as asking why it was important. that latter is what you're trying to argue is all he did- it wasn't.

that was really rude, i really think tesla is cool but how does 2 seconds for a 100kph time matter in any way, its just a gimmick, no practical use whatsoever
this is where he makes his question clear that he wants to actually know why it's important for a car to accelerate quickly off the line, that question adheres closer to the subject, this is why this question was the only one to get a nicer response
traffic time calculations. when it takes so long for a truck to make speeds when it has to stop for traffic, tolls, weigh stations, or refueling. When you add up all these times that it takes for a diesel to slow down/speed up, the tesla can outperform the diesel.
Three words: Track Day Fun
just in terms of technology, car companies have been trying to get the fastest 0-60 since forever. it's pretty impressive that they've been able to top a hurdle that other companies have tried to get over for so long.
these are pretty nicely worded, I see nothing wrong with these quotes because he came across as actually asking why it matters

the problem is that's, again, not how he came across here
sure i can see how thats exciting but idk why blf is going apestuff over it
if you don't see this as him getting the point, but then going ahead and dismissing other peoples interests in it, then you're hopeless to even have this explained to you. this is not the same as asking who somebody was, this is asking, finding out who they were and then saying "why do you care he died?"

he probably doesn't keep up with the newest 2 million dollar car model that can accelerate slightly faster than the previous 2 mil model. not many people do.
if you actually look at the thread its pretty clear a lot of the forums do care about something like that.
What else is he supposed to say besides 'I don't understand why this is cool'
he didn't say that though did he? he said 'how does this matter'. by the way its worded it sounds like hes being extremely dismissive. cmon dude is it really that hard to see whats going on here?

I didn't catch that last one, that is rather dismissive, actually more than the first post he made. It's definitely partially his fault for not elaborating immediately. I think both points are true, he was a bit dismissive initially but the few rude posts people made were unwarranted, so this drama holds some weight

aggressive reactions are common throughout all the BLF though. if we consider this drama worthy then by such standards a lot of offtopic and games warrant drama threads

Well a lot of them do already have dramas

that's entirely on you then, I don't think he has much right to cry about it considering he just dismissed multiple peoples interests

Well a lot of them do already have dramas
like what? I don't see that many political drama topic threads, that stuff is almost always contained in there

those two are generally disliked though

noedit: the dramas are the aggressive reaction, not the other way around, essentially

I love how in the lil peep has died thread like two people were dismissive like 'I don't know who this is' and not a single person raised an objection. Then when someone asks a pretty reasonable question 'how does this matter' nobody answers it- instead y'all just go off on him like the car is your God and he just insulted it

"who is this?" =/= "why does this matter"

something about science is normally more important than a musician

not everyone in the topic would be kind that you were ignorant of the significance of the event going on because so. the reason why i picked on you for saying that in the second part because it's typical you would barge in to the topic unprepared and have no knowledge asking in a generalized sentence saying "why is any of this important and why should you be excited", sort of similar to max's point.

your better option would be to look up why it's important or personally ask someone if you're so confused as i've sometimes made that mistake before. i wasn't being exactly "rude", i was being critical if anything. you don't normally ask in public unprepared a "why" question.

Deus ex? MM?
I didn't know deus ex had a drama, but master matthew intentionally types up long winded post with no meaning and almost always comes off as trolling

Isn't this a forum Self Delete?
